ELECTRICAL SERVICING AND DIAGNOSTICS

AIMS:  This course is designed to help candidates understand the basic principles of the electrical practices used in the maintenance and servicing of every day tools used with the hire industry.  

KEY AREAS:

  • Electrical safety
  • Introduction to basic electrical theories
  • Checking, servicing, testing, labelling, recording tests
  • Relevant Health & Safety legislation. 
  • Testing components and functions
  • Fault finding and diagnose procedures
  • Covering run and testing procedures.
  • Basic Portable Appliance Testing

Separate PAT testing courses are available upon request.

BY THE END OF THE COURSE delegates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical appliances, understand relevant Health & Safety issues which apply, examine components for compliance & serviceability, conclude & record test results, using correct test equipment
